The Carnival Triumph has now reached port and the passengers are now disembarking. Many of whom have a long trip home after a completely miserable trip. It is evident from the reports that Carnival has downplayed the plight of its passengers to almost a ridiculous degree. We now know and have seen evidence of feces in the hallways, mattresses on deck and have heard the accounts of the passengers who recite a nightmare to say the least. Many of these people will be looking to hire an attorney and explore their options against Carnival. The cruise line has offered to refund the money its passengers paid for the trip and a small consolation prize of a low cash settlement or an additional trip. It is doubtful that any of these passengers will sail again much less on Carnival. The insulting offer is ridiculous. It is come to light that Carnival new the Triumph had propulsion problems and had known it for quite some time. It could be said that Carnival perpetrated a fraud on its passengers and should be held accountable. Many people will fall ill to airborne sicknesses, norvirus, dysentery, dehydration and other maladies. These injuries are compensable. Carnival seems to ignore the problems with its aging fleet and finally needs to be brought to task. A ship is nowhere to leave out safety. Carnival needs to be taught a lesson.
