LaBovick & LaBovick will interview Congressman Bruce Braley in new Podcast series "From the Courtroom".
Congressman Braley (D) Iowa has been fighting for the rights of people for many years. He is an experienced Trial Lawyer, with twenty three years of practicing law under his belt. He is a past President of the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association and former President of the the Iowa Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Prior to being elected to Congress, Mr. Braley, served on the Boards of the Association of Trial Lawyers (now known as AAJ) and Iowa Legal Aid. He was Board Certified in Civil trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. In addition, to his legal expertise, he started a scholarship fund for injured workers and their families.
Congressman Braley has been busy in Congress since being elected to represent Iowa's First District in November 2006. He currently serves on the House committee on Energy and Commerce. Mr. Braley is Vice Chair of the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee and serves on the Health and the Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection subcommittees.
Congressman Braley introduced, H.R. 985, Whistleblower Protection Enforcement Act of 2007 to the Floor and has been very instrumental in fighting for Whistleblower protections.
